Dr. Calisha Brooks
Cincinnati University’s “#WEGOTUS” Campaign
Studies show that African American students who attend predominantly white institutions, often face challenges as minorities on campus. To address this issue, Dr. Calisha Brooks developed an initiative to bring awareness to the impact of racial injustices in these educational settings. Through the University of Cincinnati’s African American Cultural and Research Center, “We Got Us” was created as a platform to be a voice for these students.

HOW WE MADE THE DREAM WORK
Our team directed media production and created digital content which captured dynamic stories. TES Media interviewed staff and students to bring their experiences to life. We provided the creative direction which brought Dr. Brooks’ documentary to the screen. We formed the storyline, captured the content, as well as directed and edited the final film.
